EVANGEL DOCUMENTATION / 03
Launch a coin
From a public source to a reviewed token launch.
Before you begin
- Use a wallet on Base Sepolia with testnet ETH for gas.
- Choose a name and an A–Z ticker, up to 12 letters.
- Provide a public HTTPS source: a repository, post, creator page, or other relevant reference.
- Describe the project, intended creator, provisional terms, and intended fee purpose.
- Choose a pairing asset with a current governance liquidity approval.
Create a request
Open the launchpad and select Launch. The manual form shows eligible pairing assets by symbol and contract address. Check the address: symbols are not unique identities. Set the opening virtual quote in units of that asset.
The request does not immediately create or trade a coin. The platform governor reviews the exact request and its optional initial purchase. A rejection prevents launch but preserves the launcher’s ability to recover an escrowed initial purchase.
The opening curve
The virtual quote is an accounting parameter used to establish the opening price curve. It is not deposited collateral, TVL, or spendable capital. The allowed range is 1 to 1 billion units of the selected asset. Higher virtual quote, with the same starting token inventory, produces a higher opening price.
Do not equate 1,000 USDC with 1,000 units of another asset. The unit and economic value change with the chosen pairing. The asset’s real external liquidity does not supply quote reserves to the new pool.
Optional initial purchase
The launcher can escrow the selected pairing asset for an initial buy. The request includes the amount, minimum tokens to receive, and deadline. If approval executes successfully, the factory routes that purchase to the new pool.
The initial-buy deadline must be in the future and no more than seven days away; the browser currently uses 24 hours. An expired purchase can make an approval transaction revert. Cancel and refund the request before preparing another launch when its terms no longer fit. Only the launcher can cancel an unlaunched request.
Review and creation
The governor reviews the displayed request hash. The hash binds launch parameters, initial-buy configuration, and pairing address. If an initial purchase changes, the previous hash cannot approve the altered request. Pairing eligibility is checked again at final approval.
Creation mints 21 million tokens, assigns 14.7 million to the pool and 6.3 million to the governed reserve, and registers the project with the factory. The launch itself does not use the two-day reserve-release notice period.
$EVANGEL launches first
The first approved project must be $EVANGEL and must have been requested by the configured founding developer. Later projects cannot reuse the reserved EVANGEL ticker. Other tickers do not imply global exclusivity or trademark rights.
Social import
Social import helps prepare a request from a source. It currently uses the platform’s default pairing asset; use the manual form for another approved asset. Import availability depends on the configured source provider. Importing a post does not prove creator consent or grant authority over its author.
